Your Ezine-Engine account can help get the mechanical aspects of publishing in email off your desk and out of your hair so you can enjoy yourself, and focus on providing quality content to your readers.
Mailing Lists
The default setting for new accounts limits you to managing three lists.
However, we'll happily expand your account to manage more lists if you provide quality content to readers with your first three lists. If you're doing a good job, we'll help you grow.
So, as example, if you have 27 web sites and each one has it's own mailing list, your Ezine-Engine account can manage all these lists for you.
Your control panel allows you to create new mailing lists, edit mailing list info, and delete mailing lists.
Subscription Forms
Your account will provide you with a choice of subscribe forms for each of your mailing lists. You pick the form layout you like, and copy and paste the subscribe form code in to your website.
If you want to create a custom subscribe form of your own design, that's ok too. We'll provide you with the core code your form will need to work properly.
Subscription Management
All Ezine-Engine accounts use a 2 step confirmed opt-in subscription procedure.
At the bottom of each newsletter you send, the reader will be reminded of their signup date and the IP address of the computer they used to subscribe.
A one click unsubscribe link is available at the bottom of each newsletter sent.
Confirmed opt-in, reminding readers of how and when they subscribed, easy one click unsubscribe, and using a professional mailing service, are all important tools that protect you from spam complaints.
The bottom line is, you don't have to deal with subscription issues, readers join and leave your list on their own.
Subscription Messages
You can add your own text to both confirm and welcome messages sent by the subscription process.
So, as example, if you are promising your web site visitors a bonus if they subscribe to your newsletter, you can deliver this bonus in the welcome message.
Managing Your Mailing List
You can see your mailing list at any time by clicking a button in the control panel.
Or, you can click another button and your mailing list will be emailed to you.
You can search your mailing list for a specific subscriber, and manually delete them from your list if needed. You can choose to do this privately, or you can mail an unsubscribe confirm to the reader.
Test Newsletters
You know that little nervous feeling you sometimes get just before sending something to your entire mailing list? Here's a cure.
You can send a test newsletter through the system just to yourself. This is a great way to do a final check of your newsletter and make sure everything looks just the way you want it to. You can send as many tests as you need.
Mailing Your Newsletter
When you're ready, enter your newsletter in to the provided form in your control panel, and mail it to all your readers.
First, you'll see a warning message that asks you to confirm you wish to send a newsletter. This warning protects you from accidentally mailing before you're ready.
Once you confirm your intentions, your newsletter is placed in the que, and will be sent out as soon as any other newsletters that are already in line have been sent.
Each newsletter you send will be saved in a back issue archive, so it's easy to keep track of what you've already sent to your readers.
Hey, you can even personalize the subject and body of your newsletter with your reader's first name. Neat, huh?
When your mailing is complete, the system will send you a notice via email, which will include the number of readers you have mailed to.
